YESTERDAY, TODAY, & FOREVER?

PhotobucketI decided I should post a weather update. The forecast for tomorrow is the same as it was for yesterday and today – RAIN MIXED WITH SNOW.

I’m starting to think this is going to be a forever forecast. Tomorrow IS the first of May, you know! The above picture was taken yesterday morning. It was warm enough that the snow melted as it hit the ground around our house, but I took a picture of the foothills about a 1/2 mile or mile behind our house. We always marvel at how you can see an exact line where the snow starts/stops.

PhotobucketThe picture was taking just this morning. It snowed quite heavily for awhile, but again, it was warm enough that it didn’t stick to the ground. By the afternoon it had all turned to rain.
PhotobucketThe forecast is for more snow tomorrow morning.

Earlier this week I sent something to my friend Kim about an order I’m sending in and I told her I would send one in today the end of March and then another one later in the week for the first of April. She called me all confused (LOL) because obviously March is long gone and April is almost over. I meant April/May (LOL).
PhotobucketWith weather like I’ve posted above, can you blame me for being confused about what month it is?

I feel so sorry for you!! The boys played on the trampoline yesterday with no shirts and the waterhose. Day before they were down the road on the nieghbor’s slip-n-slide. Sunday afternoon we are having a swimming, water slide, and slip-n-slide birthday party for the middle boy.
How does that make you feel? LOL! We haven’t had snow since winter 98 and then it was only about an inch but the whole town had to shut down.

Okay – now I’m VERY glad we never moved west like we had planned when we were first married. I’m fairly positive I would not have done well with snow in May! We sometimes have it in late April but it’s unusual.

Well, I think your snow pix are beautiful! We just don’t see that where I live! In fact, we seem to have moved right from winter into summer, practically skipping spring altogether!

This reminds me of Alaska. We’d be desperate for the snow to leave and then we’d get big spring storms.

No, I don’t blame you for being confused…though I have the same problem down here….because it seems to always be the same type of weather….freak cold and then warm/hot…. in January I think its summer. LOL

Oh, I feel for you. We had our last snow in April and it got me all of kilter, too. Thank goodness the snow didn’t stick around very long – but it is STILL depressing! We are finally getting some days in the 70’s (and some even without rain!). 🙂 This has been a crazy weather year.

SUPER MOON

The Super Moon was shining so bright throughout the night last night. This morning the western sky was a beautiful rainbow of colors as the moon was disappearing over the horizon.

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

EARLY MORNING VIEW

I love that the days are getting longer!   There was a beautiful view of the moon early this morning which reminded me of this song by Steven Curtis Chapman.   …”Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee…   Holy. Holy, holy…”
