April showers bring WORMS! We’ve been having rain off with an occasional snow shower mixed in all through April. The moisture mixed with a few warm days here and there have brought out the worms which Nathan LOVES to play with! He’s holding this one up for me to take a picture of it. He RAN into the house and told me to HURRY.. BRING THE CAMERA!

Ugh! I hate worms. Grace is quite happy to deal with them for me, if I come across one while gardening.

We’ve had NO RAIN in our area this April which is really weird for England. And does not bode well for our reservoirs this summer.

Dorothy,
I don’t like worms either. I think Nathan will be a great help in the flower beds this year since he doesn’t seem to mind them now. Last year he didn’t like worms.. now he’s out hunting for them.

This is the most spring rain we’ve had in quite a few years. I’m not sure we’ve had enough to be out of a drought yet, but it’s been great to not have to get out my houses and start watering anything yet.

this is Debbie’s daughter.
I am strange and love worms. Sooo after a good rain I’m out there poking around near the henhouse for some small “morsels” for chickens.

I’ve promised Trevor for several YEARS that we’ll get a worm farm started for him. Maybe this year . . .

He’s always loved worms (even to death, unfortunately). BLECH!

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
