LEAVING HOME THE FIRST TIME TODAY:

So… we left home at 4:15… got 5 minutes down the road when I realized I forgot my drivers license.. UGH… now we’re going to be late… well later than I’d like to be, but not technically “late.” I left it in the copy machine last night when making a copy of my photo ID for the scuba paperwork. I ran back in the house and grabbed it and off we were again for the seond time.

LEAVING HOME THE SECOND TIME TODAY:

We head out again… We aren’t 10 miles down the road when my mom calls to say our flight has been cancelled and I need to hurry up and get there to figure out what to do about it (LOL)! While on the phone she and our friend talk to the agent and start to make alternative travel plans. After we get arrive we can see there is a TON of people now trying to catch the few flights still going out today. There are 12 of us so that’s a LOT of people to try to reschedule “together.” It ends up that 7 of us get on a flight out at 2:30 this afternoon so we came home and I spend the time updating my blog! I’m treating it like vacation time and I’m NOT being tempted to do any cleaning or other last minute things I haven’t done yet (LOL). My mom, dad, and Amanda end up on the flight with my brother going through SLC. Unfortunately, on our way home he calls to say they are still sitting on the runway waiting to leave because there is freezing rain in SLC. The other 2 people in our group are rebooked on another airline through Denver…. egads.. we’re all over the country now….

BACK HOME AGAIN:

We decide that it would be better to have the 2 going through Denver try to get back on our flight leaving at 2:30 so we can all be together… So our friends head back to the airport to take care of that for his parents. They were successful! My brother called from SLC to say they missed their flight and now they will get to Orlando a 1/2 hour AFTER us.

LEAVING HOME FOR THE THIRD TIME TODAY:

So.. now we’re heading out again. We won’t all be together again until after midnight and we’ve all been up since 2:00 a.m… and we’re supposed to have a full day at DISNEY WORLD tomorrow… we’ll see how much we can sleep on the plane!

If we can ever get this vacation going I think we’ll have FUN!
