It seems like all I do these days is work. I haven’t had time to “really” play with my blog in forever. I miss that, but at least March is just around the corner now that I can flip the calendar to Feb tomorrow. With March, comes the end of basketball and volleyball within sight (LOL). Sadly, yes, I’m talking about looking forward to the end of these things and poor Em hasn’t even had her first game yet!
You are probably wondering why I have time to blog right now and why I haven’t included any pictures. I’m at the office waiting for the printer to finish printing all of the W2s and myriad other payroll related quarterly forms that have to be mailed today. I decided that while I’m at it I may as well print the forms that are due by the end of Feb and get them in the mail as well since it’s not likely I’ll have any more time later than I have now. And, at least now it’s all fresh in my brain.
Recap of the week so far:
Monday – up at 4:00 to get everything ready for coop before we have to leave at 5:00 for volleyball practice. I worked out for an hour while Em had practice. I showered there this time so I didn’t have to get up as early as I would have had to otherwise. Fortunately, I didn’t have to spend much time packing a bag since I keep a duplicate of everything packed in a bag for those times when I need to leave somewhere on short notice and don’t have time to think about what to pack. Just grab the bag, a change of clothes, and go. 7:30 – when practice was over, two of the girls rode with us to coop. I took them for breakfast and then picked up some ingredients for chocolate chip cookies that the grandmas made at coop. YUM YUM! After coop was over at 3:00 we headed home and I took a nap until after 7:00 then Em and I read one of the chapters for the SCUBA test and we went to bed EARLY!
Tuesday – worked on scholarship paperwork for Amanda. We had two of them due today. She finished her personal statement, we made some changes to her transcript with my friend Lee made for us (and it looks AWESOME… THANK YOU LEE!), listed all of the community, volunteer, and work activities we could think of, etc. School for Josh…. movie day for Nathan (ok. I do NOT do this often, but some days we just need to zip through a lot of things and I need to keep him occupied and quiet so we can work quickly and efficiently.)
TODAY: SO MANY things piled up with deadlines of today…. it’s 4:19 and I think we’ll make all of the 5:00 deadlines….
*quarterly reports printed and mailed
*W4s printed and mailed
*bills paid and mailed.
*MT state forms printed and mailed
*Creative Memories order assembled and processed
*SCUBA chapters read and 2 tests taken…. two more to go and the deadline is tomorrow …I think we’ll make it!
*Scholarship applications (2 of them) delivered
I still have to print everything for year end to be taken to the accountant, but that will have to wait until next week. At least all of the MUST DO employee things are now taken care of and mailed… one year I ended up having to assemble, address, stamp, etc them on the airplane and mailed them from FL (LOL)! No more vacations in January! It’s much easier to do this while still at home.
Well…. my time is up. My forms are finished and now I need a nap before I dig into the next SCUBA chapter.
Oh… I did manage to accomplish a few more things today thanks to Grandma…. the boys were in DESPERATE need of haircuts and we (the girls) were in desperate need of QUIET in the house so we could get all of this paperwork finished. So, grandma Jan took the boys to town for haircuts, shopping, and lunch. They got home just a few minutes ago.
I keep saying I need a WIFE! Well.. I found the next best thing – I found a “GRANDMA” to come and help me for awhile until I can get things caught up around here and she’s starting tomorrow! More on that tomorrow.

Hooray for Grandma Jan!! It can be wonderful to have a grandma on hand to help. My inlaws took our five kiddos Mon-Wed while dh and I went to a prayer conference in the middle of Janurary. Huge blessing!
You ARE blessed!
