We woke up to frost this morning. I’m not certain how cold it was last night, but it was only 32 when I looked at the thermometer after I had been up a couple of hours. Above is the view from our kitchen widow this morning. Notice the light color all across the field. Below, is a close up of our frost-covered grass in our backyard.

We came close to a frost a few times last week, but this week it has been very summerish. It is after 11pm here and still in the low 70s! I’ll take the warm weather as long as it lasts…I’m sure the cold is coming soon.

Huh – and here I thought fall was firmly entrenched in Maine. I actually had to run my AC today!!! It was in the 80’s!!! UGH! I like fall better. It will be down in the high 60’s by the end of the week. YEAH! 🙂

Our temps are hovering above freezing at night, but not especially warm during the day either. I guess that’s what’s called a temperate climate! {g}

I’m still mourning the loss of our summer this year.

LOL, we had the A/C on yesterday. Last night, we had the windows open, the temp dropped to the 40s, and I woke up to 61 in the house. So Robert turned on the heater!

I’m REALLY hoping I can wear capris all winter long! LOL.

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! I can’t believe it’s that cold all ready. Tell the win to blow some of those temps this way. I am so tired of seeing our temps at 95 degrees

SUPER MOON

The Super Moon was shining so bright throughout the night last night. This morning the western sky was a beautiful rainbow of colors as the moon was disappearing over the horizon.

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

EARLY MORNING VIEW

I love that the days are getting longer!   There was a beautiful view of the moon early this morning which reminded me of this song by Steven Curtis Chapman.   …”Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee…   Holy. Holy, holy…”
