I saw the state map on Kristine’s blog and thought it would be fun to see where all we have been, but then I saw a bunch of other things at that site and decided to do several maps. I realize these are coming up way bigger than the space allowed, but I’m not going to take the time to try to fix it. Soon enough there will be other posts pushing this one down to the bottom and then no one will even notice it’s off anyway (LOL).

They had a thing that shows what type of traveler you are. Here is my travel type. No big surprise here given the fact that I usually read books about where we’re going before, during, and after a vacation (LOL).

Your travel type: Culture Buff

The culture buff needs to see a museum, an art gallery, a 16-th century church every day during his holiday. When he travels he is always well prepared. He has read history books, speaks a few words of the lingo, knows about the strange habits the locals have.

I was really surprised to see the places we’ve been all plotted out on a map. I knew we had been to a lot of states and I knew we were missing areas of the country. I plan to fix that one of these days (LOL)! Can you believe there is one west coast state that we haven’t been to? How in the world did we miss Oregon?

I also decided to try the world map. I have been to France, Germany, and Austria. My grandmother took me there when I was a freshmen in high school. As a family we have been to Cozumel, Grand Caymen, and Belize. Tim and I went to Canada fishing once after we were married and before we had any kids.

I’ll have to remember to update this after each trip somewhere!

My map looks almost like yours Cynthia, except we missed Washington too. I remember being so frustrated when we took our trip west that we had to cut from Idaho down to California and miss the two top states when we were SO close! I also have the top 3 states in the east to hit too. Again, so close, yet so far away! LOL

Fun maps – wow you’ve traveled…but when were you in Alaska? I don’t remember that story. Did you sneak in and not visit us? Did the map just click Alaska when you clicked something else? Strange.

Okay, start planning. We’ll have a house built in about 3-4 years & then you’ll HAVE to come to Maine so you can mark that off your map! 🙂

GETTING READY

It’s been a good many years since I’ve had a “helper” while I’m getting ready in the morning, or in this case the afternoon as you can see from the sun shining in above Charlie’s head from this window which faces the west! Charlie had so much fun playing with …

STUCK

I won’t mention any names here, but someone got his pickup stuck in a snow drift out in the south hills behind our house while pulling the snowmobiles On a trailer to where they were going to unload them to ride for a few hours!! Say that again???  You “need” …

DINNER

This is a fairly typical dinner for me.  A serving of meat which in this case was grilled hamburger.  Sometimes a slice of cheese, but not always.  At least two veggies and sometimes three!  No ketchup.  No bun.  No yummy homemade hamburger relish.  Just a little bit of spicy mustard …
