TERRY TRAVEL TRAILER continued

Here are some more pictures of our camper. You can see from the outside that it is the “bunk” model by the double windows in the back.

Above and below are pictures going in/out the door.

Looking from the back end of the camper up toward the door. The couch made into a bed. The camper sleeps eight altogether.
The kitchen area… microwave, refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, sink, etc.

Nathan had fun telling the new owners all about the refrigerator and other parts of the camper. We went camping with the new owners a view times last summer. Nathan seems to think they are borrowing it to go camping without us… poor little guy cried when they came to get it.

The table area opposite the kitchen. The table also makes into a bed and has 2 big storage areas under the seats.

The bathroom and bunk beds are toward the end of the camper.

Having a tub in the bathroom has been really nice while the kids were little. There is also a shower outside for hosing people off who are TOO dirty to come inside the camper (LOL).

The bedroom is at the front end of the camper. The bed lifts up to a storage area underneath. There is an end table on the left side of the bed and a fold down counter thing at the foot of the bed where we put the TV. There are drawers under the bed for books, movies, etc.
Here Nathan is showing them how the windows work, where we put the TV in the bedroom, etc.

We are sure going to miss this camper, but we know they will have LOTS of fun with it! And, hopefully, we’ll get to go camping with them a few times this summer.

My two sister’s and their families camp a lot. They started first by tent camping. Now, one of my sister’s have since purchased a camper . .. they LOVE it.

I can’t believe I just bought one of these monsters. The big question will be “CAN YOU CAMP in one of these?” ::snort::

Nathan will be happier when the new trailer arrives. Poor boy.

Very nice! Any ideas on where you will camp first? We’ve always thought of the 5th wheel camper, but now with seven of us, we wouldn’t all fit in the truck!

DeEtta,
You’ll have fun! It’s a different kind of camping for sure. You know our work schedule and that we rarely get to camp and honestly when we go “camping” we don’t take our camper. We went 2 times last year… once we took it and once we took the tent. It’s just too much work for us to get the camper all ready to go for only 1 trip. But, I had taken it to Super Summer for a week right before one of the camping trips and it was already to go which is why we took it. Our “camper” is primarily used for work. We’re doing good if we get away 1-2 times a summer to “camp” and like I said… normally we take our tent.

We can all fit in the pickup if we have to since there are only 6 of us, but it wouldn’t be comfortable. The one time we did take it camping last year I had to leave EARLY…if I remember right even the day before Tim…..to get a spot. So, I pulled the camper over and Tim brought the YUKON and pulled the boat. The few times we have gone camping, we usually just take the YUKON, tent, and boat….

The reason we sold this one and bought a new one is because dh has an upcoming job which is away from home for about 3 months and he needed something a little more roomy for living in that long.

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

TODDLER AT WORK

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a firm believer in giving kids meaningful “work” to do :). Charlie is “working” in this photo.   Fourth-generation construction business owner coming right up 🙂

TICKLER FILES

I have always used a Tickler Filing system for bill paying and other things which have dated deadlines.  I have 6 such red files which are numbered with the dates as follows:  1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, and 26-31.  I don’t have enough dated deadlines to warrant a file for …
