Nathan, Tim, and I played a lively game of Sequence this evening. I should have won the first round, but SOMEONE had to open up their mouth and let on to someone else my strategy which was to win 2 sequences with one last chip! That play fell through and I ended up losing. We went on to play two more rounds with each of us winning one and we decided to end the evening with a 3-way tie.
We were introduced to the Sequence board game many years ago when our friends (Matt, Lee, and sons) brought it to play while we were on vacation with them in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Every time we play Sequence, I recall the events surrounding when and where we learned to play it. If I remember correctly, we were supposed to be spending a few days enjoying the Silverwood Theme Park with them. Instead, they all spent several days at the hotel playing board games and swimming in the pool while I tended to Tim who ended up in the ER the day after we arrived! When Tim was well enough to leave the Idaho hospital, our friends helped us quickly pack up so we could head on home. However, we didn’t make it all the way home as Tim became worse on the way and upon our arrival in Billings he was immediately admitted to the hospital, again, where he remained another couple of days. All ended up well and there was never any determination as to what caused his sudden illness.
We really enjoy this game because it doesn’t take as long to play a few rounds as compared to something like Monopoly or Shanghi.
