THE SEAS WITH NEMO & FRIENDS

Vacations - 2007

Description of this attraction & photo from the Disney World website: “Cruise out to sea in the clamobile! Greet all your Nemo pals as they swim amid the live marine life of the gigantic aquarium. Delve down into the deepest parts of the ocean in this fun-filled story where the majesty of nature meets whimsical Disney magic. Afterwards, chill out and spend some quality time in Turtle Talk with Crush. “

We really enjoyed this ride. Nathan LOVED it and fortunately he was able to go on this 2x, once with us and once with Grandma and Grandpa. He didn’t get to ride on very many “kid” rides because there just wasn’t enough time to do everything everyone wanted to do in just 2 short days, one of which was made even shorter by our late start due to the long flight and having to go to two different places to round up all of our tickets. During parts of this attraction, you are looking into a real aquarium and these 3D characters swim around at the front of the window amongst all of the real fish. Then there is a section where you are riding the EAC (I think that’s it, isn’t it? I haven’t watched the movie in awhile and my memory is short). The way they have it setup it does make you feel like you’re riding along with the current… riding and watching the screen.
At the end of this ride we went to watch the fish in the aquarium and we were pleasantly surprised to see some SCUBA divers feeding the fish with a SHARK swimming around one of the divers. It would be really neat if we can see a shark when we go for our dive (LOL)! The diver would swim around to all of the windows feeding the fish and then you would get a nice closeup look at the fish as the diver swam by.
I couldn’t resist buying this Mickey Scuba Diver at The Seas gift shop. We usually don’t buy very many souveniers, but I did buy this one because it nicely represents two parts of our overall trip… DISNEY & SCUBA. I have him sitting on my desk.

Isn’t he just TOO CUTE?

We were disappointed at Disneyland that this ride wasn’t open yet (they are still building it), but I definitely want to do it next time. It sounds fun!

The Mickey is just perfect!! I am so glad you found him and brought him home. Definitely sums up your trip – Disney and Scuba. Too fun!

Diann,
The ride is VERY CUTE! You’ll definitely have to go back after it’s open.

Kathy,
I thought the SCUBA MICKEY was a perfect souvenier as well.

LUGGAGE – DAY 62 of PROJECT 365

WHEW! This is definitely the last of our vacation pictures! The night before you arrive back in port, you leave all of your luggage out in the hallway. During the night the porters come through and deliver it *here* (LOL) and you have to dig through the piles of luggage …
