**I can’t imagine how difficult a transition like this would be if she were moving across the country or to a different part of the world.
I suppose common sense would tell one that it IS harder to have them move far away where you can’t see them at least once a month or so…::sniff:: BUT I think the biggie is the fact that it signifies the end of a season of parenting and family life. It’s not that you’ll not see her more often but it’s different…..and THAT is a pain you will feel whether they move 30 miles or to timbuktu…..I’ve had two other friends who children moved across town and they were also hit very hard by the move out. I’ve had one friend whose children (like ours) moved across several states and it IS hard, hard, hard…..so maybe it is a bit harder not to be able to see them all the time….but I guess what I’m saying is that it is more the end of a season of life that you miss and that is going to happen regardless of how far they move. I know that I was sad thinking of Cy moving out the other day. LOL
