RAMBLING RACCOON RETURNS

FINALLY, after a two month hiatus, I have repectfully and determinately (almost to the point of earnestly beseeching) inquired as to the possibility of my occasional and hopefully consistent access to the world wide web. I must save face and explain that it was never my intent to leave you pondering my whereabouts for months on end whilst I was circuitously and sometimes ceremoniously gallivanted about the countryside. It has nearly broken my raccoon heart to be without access to communication. Surely Ms. Jodi and the kids are worried sick about me by now. Hitherto, I would have spent a nice afternoon like this out and about with the boys.
Today, I took it upon myself to sit here in the corner Ms. Cynthia’s desk atop her PictureMate personal photo lab photo printer, which conveniently situated me at eye level with her, until I guilted her into giving me some time at the computer. Her penchant for the computer is to be questioned. She says she “works” but I’m not fully convinced.
Today the boys are out “swathering” (as Tater calls it) the hay across the road.

Normally, one might have found me tucked inside this little farmer’s pocket.
But not today. Today I’m getting in touch with my long lost relatives! Ms. Jodi, Haley, Tristan, Trevor, Colin, do you remember me? Have I been so long removed from your acquaintance that I’m past recollection? Those who are clueless as to who I am or where I came from should peruse for a minute (or two) the only two entries I’ve been able to log so far during my stay out west.
I’ve spent the last two months trying to figure out this enigmatical family. At first I didn’t know whether they were coming or going half the time, but now that I’ve fallen into their routine it has all begun to make a little sense. At a later date, I’ll elaborate more regarding my time here so far. For now, suffice it to say I spent the first few weeks in the dog house. Now, that’s not such a bad thing so don’t go getting teary eyed on me yet. In fact, at times I felt safest in the dog house because of the chaos of boxes and state of the house. Remember when I said I thought they might have been moving out when I first arrived. Indeed, I was worried that I would get LOST or be misplaced somewhere never to be returned to my family again!
Now that it’s getting colder, I’m downright jovial over being granted more indoor nights. I know Haley will be glad to hear of this since I read she was fretting about me. I also read her note about bringing a kitten home. Will this one work?
It’s the CUTEST kitten which just showed up here at the place one day. Tater has taken a real liking to it though so I’m not sure I’ll be able to whisk it away when I depart.
Speaking of departures, I must relinquish the keyboard to Ms. Cynthia who, once again, claims to have work to do – something about getting ready for co-op tomorrow. They haven’t taken me to one of these co-ops yet so I haven’t a clue what they do or where they go. Perhaps I’ll tag along tomorrow.Until the next time,
