I was going to take an online photography class, but decided I couldn’t handle the stress of having a set assignment schedule with real deadlines. Instead, I have requested a few books from the library and dug out some photography books I had here on my shelf. I’m also reading through a book that Tim got for Christmas which I’ll review another day.
In this picture I was trying to do this vertical frame thingie (no time to look up the actual terms the book used and y’all know I wouldn’t remember them anyway so why bother…. at least *I* know what I was trying to do – lol). I suppose technically there should be a frame item on the other side, but there wasn’t any such thing since she was looking out the window so I just cut off 1/2 her head instead. I was glad to get a picture that wasn’t really posed. I think by the time I took this one she was pretty much just ignoring the fact that I was practically in her face taking pictures of her looking out the window at Nathan playing (LOL).
I hestitate to even post this picture (or any other P365 ones this year) since I think her dad might read the blog occasionally. He *IS* a photographer and my photos will never be 1/2 as good as his so I’m not sure what I was thinking when I took a picture of one of his kids for my photography project (LOL). Oh well. I think it’s an adorable picture of her so I’m going to post it even if it does have some “technical” problems.
I know there are a few more things I should have paid closer attention to when I took this photo.
1. I think I cut off a little too much of her left hand. I think I shouldn’t have cut it so close to her wrist. I probably should have included just a little more of her wrist.
2. I think I should have included a little bit more of the window on the far left hand side of the picture. You can just BARELY see a little bit of tree branch and then the white trim of the window. It probably would have told more of a story if I had included more of the actual scene outside the window which I could have done if I had moved over just a little bit more.
Does anyone care to tell me anything else about this picture?
PS: I haven’t really posted any “offical” P365 photos yet. I’m not even going to try to label them 1-365 or else I’ll get frustrated with being behind. I am going to label the P365 ones as such in the title so those scrolling through the P365 ring will at least know this is a picture taken specifically for that project so they can skip other “life” posts they may not be interested in.
