Emily is doing her part to turn the SoBe bottles into vases by taking the labels off. It wasn’t all that easy since there was a very sticky residue left on the bottle after the label was removed. She tried everything…. nail polish remover, Goo Gone, etc. She couldn’t get anything to work. Enter DAD!

Dad discovered that we weren’t letting the Goo Gone soak long enough for it to dissolve the residue. THANKS for helping! Everyone is doing their part… getting everything done and ready for the party tomorrow.

A couple of our friends from town came out to help. Here is Sami’s (Nathan’s friend from the previous entry) mom working on the ribbon for the vases!

Both of the grandmas came to help with the cooking preparations. Here is Tim’s mom.

Here’s Jill mixing up a big batch of corn/bean salsa! She always has a smiling face. Those who have been reading the blog for awhile will remember her from the Ballroom Dancing awhile ago and she’s also one of the friends who went to the dinner served place with me awhile back which I also blogged about. THANKS JILL!

Josh, of course, is doing his part….. drinking SoBe….from bottles and glasses. We couldn’t drink the SoBe fast enough to keep up with Laura’s decorating so we had to start putting the SoBe in glasses and other containers to save for later.

If you have to have a job, drinking the SoBe is the one to have (LOL)!
A few more miscellaneous preparation pictures. These are the napkins. I thought they were so cute. We rolled them up with a knife, fork, and spoon inside and tied ribbon around them that matched the ribbon we used on the SoBe vases, the card baskets, etc.

A TON of THANKS to Joyce and Ranae for spending an entire afternoon working on these napkins for us. Next time I know that we should start on something like this a year ahead. It would make good busy work for keeping one awake during movies or tv shows (LOL).

I love seeing all the preparations. Never mind that the graduation was months ago. It’s all fresh to me. where did you find those wonderful graduation decorations? Too cute!

DOUBLE OVEN

Cleaning the oven doors has been on my to-do list for quite some time!  Over the weekend, I searched Pinterest and other kitchen cleaning sites to try to find the best way to clean the film off from the inside of the glass. Ordinarily, this film would probably disappear during …

INDOOR BASKETBALL

These boys love to play basketball.  For quite some time, they’ve been talking about how they need another hoop so they can have a full court!  The one you can’t see is mounted above the entryway into this room directly opposite this standing hoop.   They talked about putting up …

PONTOON

I’m typically not one who listens to country music very often, but for some reason I’ve been hearing this song almost everywhere I turn this year and it reminds me so much of our dear friends and our annual (we’ve only had two so far, but who’s counting!) camping trip …
