OUR SECOND SNOW DAY!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve already had a couple of snow days and it’s not even the end of October yet. Normally we get our first snow right around the end of October. Tim was home since it was too wet to work. He helped Josh with his school and then the 3 youngest headed out to play in the snow. I missed the pictures of the sledding behind the 4 wheeler, but I hear Nathan rode on the sled all by himself this year. I’ll get a picture next time… assuming there WILL be a next time of snow sometime this winter (LOL).

Josh finished his work before the rest of us so he went outside to shake some snow off the tree branches. Fortunately, we didn’t have any branches break off like we did this spring when we had a heavy wet snow storm like this. Not sure how safe standing on the wheelbarrow is, but it worked.

Emily had to go out to the car to get some of her books and some of Amanda’s books. She didn’t take time to get “dressed” so here she is outside wearing a tank top and shorts (LOL).

Josh couldn’t pass up this opportunity to throw a snowball at her bare legs! BRRRRRR…

After Emily finished her morning school work they ALL headed outside for some snowball fights and sledding. Here the kids are in the back yard having a BLAST!

Emily tosses a snowball to Nathan…..

he returns with one to her and she pretends to be scared which makes him laugh even harder!

Everyone is ganging up on me and I’m not even outside. I’m taking pictures from just inside the back door… they are all throwing snowballs at me!

Even Tim gets in on the action! All bundled up and either ready to go outside or already outside! Then they all come in and have some hot chocolate!

Here’s another opportunity to post a picture of our dog! She sleeps inside, but likes her dog house because it’s at the back of the house and sun shines in on it.

By tomorrow the snow will be all gone.

Look at all that snow! Eric and I need to take a vacation up north sometime! I think it would be a lot of fun! Of course, we’d freeze since we don’t have winter gear…lol Maybe we’ll travel up north in the summer…lol

Everyone has really grown since we saw you last! You’re boys are so cute and your girls look so grown up! It’s so hard to believe that Nathan is big now!

It’s good to see that you all enjoy the snow. Nothing like an impromptu snow fight!

Cindy,
Oh my goodness – you all look like you are having soooooo much fun! Reminds me of my childhood growing up in Indiana.

Thanks for sharing!
Emily

All those pictures look great! I had to LOL at the ones of your older dd. MY DH doesn’t like me to blog pictures of him and he is soooo fussy about ones I put in the scrapbook. He even asked me to change one he didn’t like, LOL.

So soon for snow but looks like they had a blast. You’ve reminded me to check that people’s snowsuits still fit, I’m sure it won’t be long for us.

Lisa,
Yes, you really should come here sometime in the witner! Your kids would have so much fun. We could probably round up plenty of coats, gloves, and hats. We’re STILL HOPING for some time in FL this winter… but I haven’t planned a thing yet. We’ll see.

Emily, yes. It was a LOT of fun! We love playing in the snow when it’s not way below zero. At least you can be out there for awhile without freezing.

I don’t think my dh was too happy with a few of the earlier ones I posted, but he didn’t ask me to take them off so I left them (LOL). We have to get at least one new pair of snow pants this year if not two. We went to town to buy some gloves for our youngest and we couldn’t find ANY at two stores we went to… I suppose everyone was out buying gloves after this early snow.

Cynthia

Love the snow!

We haven’t had any yet, but any day I’m expecting to wake up to the white stuff…which reminds me, I need to check and make sure I have snow gear for everyone. The Littles came in Feb, so I didn’t worry too much about it then!

Yikes!

SEQUENCE

Nathan, Tim, and I played a lively game of Sequence this evening.  I should have won the first round, but SOMEONE had to open up their mouth and let on to someone else my strategy which was to win 2 sequences with one last chip!  That play fell through and …

SUPER MOON

The Super Moon was shining so bright throughout the night last night. This morning the western sky was a beautiful rainbow of colors as the moon was disappearing over the horizon.
