I haven’t had much time for blogging lately. Here are a few things keeping me busy lately

1. Co-op planning for next year – an overhaul in some areas which is taking some thinking/planning time before implementing. Talking to potential new members, etc.

2. Helping one of the pastors at our church organize a Dying Well workshop.

3. Finishing up a redecorating project – the entire living room to be exact. And, as with all decorating projects one thing leads to another and we ended up painting the stairwell and upstairs hallway, too, which means I now have to redo some pictures and such. Found a few things and picked up some supplies yesterday to finish some things I started. Hope to have that all finished up this weekend.

4. Moving some of the rooms around and you all know the domino effect of something like that:

~~~Em is moving to the downstairs bedroom problem is it’s currently our music room.

~~~Music room is being moved upstairs to the little room off from our bedroom with the exception of our family heirloom piano which will move into the library problem is that wall currently houses all of my filing cabinets.

~~~Moving the filing cabinets around in the library and moving some into my scrapbooking room problem is they need to go where I have a table full of projects.

5. Trying to declutter/simplify the kitchen while waiting for an opportunity to remodel it sometime in the future. After searching high and low, I’ve found a little cabinet to go into the least liked corner of our kitchen and I think I’ll go get it tomorrow as well as something for the upstair hallway mentioned above.

6. Needed a new something for the area by the front entryway by the stairs. Thanks to a homeschooling friend, I found just the right desk and have now finished that area. I should upload that picture later.

7. Organizing my digital photos a 1/2 hour at a time. It will take quite awhile, but I hope to be done by the time the fall sporting season starts so I’m ready to go and won’t get so far behind with photos again.

8. Redoing our “paperwork” stuff…. .re-evaluating life insurance, trust papers, and other end of life issues that need to be looked at every so often.

9. Organizing a new system for my “stuff” – you know the stuff that has to go to town, to the bank, to the office, to the po, and back to the house, etc. I’ll post pictures later.

10. Likewise, I decided to organize a little thing to hold gift cards, coupons, punch cards, etc. I did all of that while Em was driving me around to do errands yesterday. She seemed a bit embarassed that I took my label maker with me in the car, but I assured her no one could see that I was making labels and organizing and organizer while supervising her driving (LOL).

11. Reorganzing my sidebar info in preparation for a blog update which is coming soon. Stay tuned.

12. Planning a trip. I’ll spare you any details until I know if it’s even going to happen or not.

13. Planning some things to do when our foreign exchange student from 7 years ago returns this fall.

14. Organizing the undone projects in my scrapbooking room hoping to scrap at least an hour a day now that co-op is over. As always, my goal is to be a little more caught up with my albums each year. We’ll see how much progress I make this summer.

15. Reorganizing the media corner in our library. Can’t make much progress on that until I find an armoir or cupboard or something.

16. Business stuff – planning with the accountant for first two quarter financial statement needs, working with bonding company for job needs this summer, re-evaluating business insurnace and such.

17. Worked with a friend who created a new payroll form in EXCEL for our certified payrolls. I’ll try it for the first time later today.

18. Planning Memorial Day dinner so the guys have a reason to get together to finish their fishing trip to Canada – they leave in a week.

19. Planning a scrapbook event.

20. Planning some parties for June (3 out of 4 of our kids have b-days in June).

21. ERRRR… I had hoped to finish planning out our June calendar, but I’m missing a few key pieces of information.

I’m sure there’s more I’ve forgotten, but those are the things I’m doing today…
