ORGANIZE SOMETHING – scrapbook challenge

Here goes. I’m going to put out the first Scrapbook Participant challenge which is to ORGANIZE SOMETHING – anything to do with scrapbooking – supplies, stickers, photos, pages, memorabilia, or in my case, an entire ROOM! If I don’t issue this first blog challenge, I may NEVER get my scrapbooking room organized. However, if I issue a challenge and post a picture of my messy scrapbooking room (see next entry) I will be mortified and humiliated into getting it cleaned up so I can blog what it’s “supposed” to look like!

I am going to give away a free Memory Express 12×12 Paper Organizer at the end of the month to the person you all vote should get it.

Is it ok to give away a used item? I hope so! It’s too nice to take to the 2nd hand store, but I no longer need it. I’d like it to find its way to a scrapbooker who can use it!

I thought about having a random drawing, but realized some of us have bigger messes than others so this time around I would like to give this gift away to the person who you all vote most deserves (or needs – lol) it. The winner could be someone who had to organize the biggest mess, had the most mind-boggling of things to organize, the most time consuming organizational project, the most boxes or pictures or supplies to deal with, or the person you feel needs the most encouragement to keep on organizing. It’s really up to YOU GUYS! I realize that for some of us the challenge to organize something may take quite awhile so I’ll give you some time and we’ll vote on who had the biggest organizational challenge to contend with at the end of the month. If you want your organiziational mess to be considered for the contest, please post it on your blog sometime between now and the end of the month. Leave a comment here so we know who all of the participants are. Be sure to post before pictures on your blog NOW so we can hold each other accountable (motivate and encourage) to organizing our “stuff” throughout the month. Post progress updates if you want or just post an after picture when you’re done so we can all vote on who wins the paper orgainzer. Don’t worry about trying to remember all of that. I’ll post reminders as we go along. Just remember to leave a comment in this blog entry indicating you want to be considered for the Paper Organizer give away.

The winner of this first challenge will get to post this really KEWL Scrapbook Challenge *WINNER* icon in their sidebar or blog entry *AND* they will receive the Memory Express 12×12 Paper Organizer shown above. In an effort to not leave out any of my non-blogging friends, I’ll also add that you can email your before/after pics to me at jct@nemont.net with a note about your organizational effort and I’ll post your entries on my blog for others to see and vote on. How does that sound? Ok. Are you ready? On Your Mark, Get Set, GO! Happy organizing everyone! (I’ll probably need to stay up all night now getting my scrapbooking room organized….of course, I won’t be eligible for the contest even though I probably have the biggest mess….)

Mine’s not so much a mess — I don’t have ROOM for the mess YOU’VE got going on! I just don’t DO anything. I do have some odds & ends still lying around from non-scrapping projects (kids’ school display boards, Kate’s b’day) so I could start by putting them away. Then I could find a place to work on Tuesdays. I need a card table that I can pop out & put back away…

See… that’s the problem. The more room you have the bigger the mess! I never had these kinds of messes when I HAD to take care of everything on the spot instead of putting in a “room.”! We are going through each room in our house delcuttering and dejunking again! MAJOR reorganizing in each room similar to what I did 6 or 8 years ago for those who remember the HUGE mess I had in every room years ago! It’s not that bad yet, but if I don’t get through all the rooms this summer I’m worried that pretty soon they’ll all just fall apart!

I live in a small space, but I have an extra dresser in my room for storing scrapbooking things. I need to move it & switch it out with the one in my oldest son’s room. THAT will be my organizational challenge! 🙂 Ugh………..LOL – Lisa

Lisa,
Happy organizing! I saw the pictures you posted on your blog. Sounds like moving the dressers is a great idea.

This room is such a mess I simply can’t deal with it any longer!  It’s not normally this disorganized, but a few months ago everything was removed from this room while I was away so I could be surprised with the flooring being finished!   YEA!  I’m SO EXCITED the …

Most people who enter our church’s car show probably spend the day before polishing and clean up their entries.  Not us!  Nope.  We don’t have a fancy car.  In fact, our rig isn’t even entirely painted.  So, there was no need for polishing and prettying it up!  No, indeed.  Tim …

POLISHING THE JEEP

Our church has an annual car show on Father’s Day which Tim and Josh decided to enter this year.  While most people are out polishing and cleaning their entries, Tim and the kids were out muddying up our entry! They went across the road to our hayfield where it’s still …
