ONE DAY WAY

Chantel Hobbs’ latest book, The One Day Way is a great book for those hoping to get fit in the new year without jumping on any of the latest diett bandwagons.  I appreciate her simple approach, “…focus on today and today only…”  which keeps one from getting hung up on previous failures or setting themselves up for future failure by looking too far ahead.

In the first section, Chantel walks the reader through the “demolition” process of breaking old habits and setting up new routines – one day at a time.  In the second section, she lays a foundation of measuring success one day at a time by focusing on bite-sized changes in the areas of faith, food, and fitness.  The third section shows you how to build a new structure by using quality materials to see you through to success.  The last section launches you into developing lasting power to sustain your new lifestyle.  This section also includes motivation for using the one-day minset to effect changes in other areas of your life as well.

My favorite section of the book are Chantel’s two sets of “Ten Commandments” which are SIMPLE!  Those of you who read about my word for the year know I’m into SIMPLE these days.  These two sets of “Ten Commandments” are simple enough that I can probably even remember them (LOL)!

If you’re looking for a book that is down to earth and easy to read with suggestions simple enough to implement today then this book is for you!

I have been doing a very modified South Beach, but I would be interested in her take on weight loss. I cannot afford all the meat that SB "requires" and I do like to cheat on carbs at times. I basically maintained over Thanksgiving and Christmas, even with adding a lot of forbidden carbs temporarily, but I know I cannot eat all of them longterm. I need a better way.

Thanks, Cynthia, for bringing this book to my attention and the chance to win it.
