I’ve been thinking about my fellow blogging friend, Dorothy – from YOU DID WHAT?, and her family all day. Tonight they are putting on a Life-Songs concert in England which has drawn quite a bit of criticism and opposition toward them from the local churches.
I’m so proud of them for persevering through it all – especially Dorothy since she’s the one I’m in touch with and know via an internet loop and blogging. She has worked very hard to put the Life-Songs event together and to see this thing that God has placed on their hearts through to fruition. She homeschooled their children which to my understanding is NOT a popular educational choice in England. She has stepped up to organize many events for their children through the years often having to do most of the work herself. She’s a mom to be admired, for sure!
On our way to town this morning, I heard this song on the radio and immediately thought of Dorothy and her family. So, Dorothy. This song is for you guys! Please know that you have been in our family’s thoughts and prayers today! Dorothy, did you notice I picked the version that has the stone wall for the first slide?
OH NO YOU NEVER LET GO
by Matt Redman
Verse 1:
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
Your perfect love is casting out fear.
And even when I’m caught
in the middle of the storms of this life,
I won’t turn back, I know You are near.PreChorus:
And I will fear no ev – il,
For my God is wi – th me.
And if my God is wi – th me,
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?Chorus:
Oh no, You never let go,
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go,
In every high and every low
O no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me.
(2nd ending)
You keep on running and you never let go
Singing Lord You never let go of meVerse 2:
And I can see a light
that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare.
And there will be an end
to these troubles, But until that day comes,
We’ll live to know You here on the earth.Bridge:
Yes, I can see a light that is coming
for the heart that holds on,
And there will be an end to these troubles,
but until that day comes,
Still I will praise You,
still I will praise You.

Cindy, what a sweet post. Dorothy has been such a blessing to our list, and to our blog loop, over the years, and I have no doubt she’s blessed as many people in real life too.
Cindy! I must have missed this post the last time that I checked your blog. Thank you so much for your sweet words of encouragement. I really appreciate them.
Thanks for praying for the concert! And I love that song!
