A few weeks ago several of the Christian radio stations were raising money for world hunger. Nathan had heard some of the broadcasts asking for people to send money for the children who go to bed hungry every night.
One night Nathan asked if he could have a sandwich or cereal before bedtime. I told him NO because it was late and he had already had a snack just a little while before. He thought about it a minute and said:
“The news is true. Children all over the world ARE going to bed hungry at night.”
We all busted out laughing because it was so funny. However, after we got over how funny his comment was then we took the time to explain to him what it really means to go to bed hungry.
