“Mom, take this picture for yours blog.” – Nathan

Here is more of what Nathan had to say about this picture:“I love playing with cats. I love myself. And, I love Caser (our dog). I love my mom (followed by lots of kisses). I love “evrenbody” all my family and friends (with big circle hand gestures).”He LOVES LOVES LOVES this kitty! It’s true that you are much more relaxed about things the more kids you have. Nathan is our 4th (for those who might be new to the blog) and I would *NEVER* in a million years have let a kitty in the house before. But, I do let Nathan bring this kitty onto the porch, but ONLY while he is standing right there (or in this case laying down beside it) with it. It’s a GREAT distraction for him while we’re trying to do some school work with the older kids. This kitty even gets SPECIAL food thanks to Grandma Bonnie (again more about her in a future post) buying it some special food and giving it to Nathan one day while he was at their house for dinner with my parents. This kitty just showed up at our house one day out of NOWHERE! He’s very friendly unlike the barn cats that we have. This one loves to be held and petted and played with so it’s perfect for Nathan!

awww what a cute kitten (cute nathan too of course, I just LOVE cats a lot). It’s good that he has this special kitty friend.

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
