My “clipboard” is all the loose papers I have stuffed into things. What I should do is blog about how neat everything looks in my house on the surface–and then open up a few cabinets to see what I’m REALLY like inside, the hidden me!
MY CLIPBOARD – DAY 13 of PROJECT 365

One of my MANY clipboards. I’m a notebook and clipboard type person so all of my projects have one of each. The clipboard is for all things I *must* have on my person at all times (LOL). I got tired of lugging notebooks around. I’ll only talk about my SAGE co-op clipboard here since that’s the one shown above. You won’t BELIEVE everything I have crammed onto that clipboard.
*color coded spreadsheet of our class schedule which is TAPED to the clipboard so I can easily find it. My spreadsheet whiz friend who is on the admin team with me, Joan, made this REALLY PRETTY spreadsheet. Each class is has it’s own color so we can easily see where the kids/teachers/classes move each period. She made this special one for me so it fits perfectly on my clipboard. THANKS JOAN!
*steno notepad – upside down so I can slide my pencil in and out of it easily. I know that’s a bit weird, but if the pencil is at the top then I have to unclip papers to get to it. I don’t like to do the dangling pencil from a yarn trick. So, having the steno notepad upside down works for me (LOL). I have a sheet for each family/class/special speaker, etc. I can record notes throughout the year, remind myself of things I’m supposed to do for any of these people/things, etc.
I have the following spreadsheets on my clipboard right now:
1. class/teacher list
2. co-op dates for the year
3. weekly topic list for the entire year
4. facility spreadsheet which shows special needs for each class and each room for each hour
5. family list including phone #’s for all 23 families
6. book orders – lots of them since I do 90% of the book orders for our co-op and we always seem to have an order of some sort going all the time
7. pizza orders. I kept the last 2 for reference for the next time we order so I can remind people what they ordered the last time, how much it cost, etc.
8. Weekly co-op plan which tells snacks, what’s happening during opening session, special anythings, and future events… Joan and I plan this out weeks ahead and email it to the group every week.
Other misc things you’ll find on my clipboard at any given time:
1. receipts that need to be given to Joan
2. checks that people have given me that haven’t made it to the co-op file box yet
3. recipes from last week’s Spanish Fiesta
4. Program from last week’s Spanish Fiesta
5. notes from many meetings regarding the order, needs, etc for Spanish Fiesta
6. Map of the facility for easy reference
7. envelope because you never know when you’ll need one
8. misc notes from people and to give to people
I would be TOTALLY lost if I ever lost my clipboard. I spent yesterday reorganizing it, filing things that were on it from last week, putting things on it that I need for this week, etc. I try to do this each weekend so I’m all ready to go Monday morning.
