MOUTHGUARD

UM….. Josh, shouldn’t that mouth guard be IN YOUR MOUTH!
The first thing Josh bought (with his own $$ I might add) the night he signed up for football was a mouthguard. Above you can see his bright red mouthguard hooked onto his helmet and hanging down from the helmet! I’m thinking it should be in his mouth at all times! In football, I think you never know when you might get hit.
It took us a couple tries to get it right, but we finally managed to do the boiling, cooling, molding, etc., in the right amounts of time to get it to fit right. Here are some pictures from that procedure.

The first time we let it cool a few seconds too long. This time Josh said it was REALLY HOT.

Having never done this before, I pushed from every angle on his cheek to make sure it was being fitted tightly around his teeth. Poor kid. He couldn’t talk during all of this, but you can see the pleading look in his eyes below… I’m sure he was anxiously waiting for me to quit pushing on his cheeks!

Last week one of the kids lost a tooth that wasn’t even lose! Fortunately it was just a baby tooth, but I used that as an opportunity to remind Josh to keep the mouth guard in and to BITE DOWN ON IT!

Robin,

I didn’t know it either until we bought this one and read the directions that came with it. I thought you just bought it and put the thing in your mouth (LOL). Boy, was I wrong.

SKYVIEW GAME

Tonight’s game against Skyview was quite intense right up until the very last second!  Each team was back and forth all night taking the lead and slipping behind by a few.  The last minute continued in this same way.  In the last 8 seconds we were behind by 1 point …
