LONG STEMMED ROSE

PhotobucketI was sorting some pictures tonight when I ran across this rose photo in my June gallery. I remember taking some pictures awhile ago of this long stemmed rose in our back yard, but I sure didn’t remember seeing any that turned out this good. I had to look at the properties to be sure I really did take it (LOL). I did. No editing or anything since I don’t know how to do that yet! It was taken with my nice lens which has since suffered an unfortunate dropping and is currently in a lab somewhere back east waiting to see if it can be fixed or not. I sure miss that lens. I won’t mention any names or give any details of what happened, but it wasn’t a pretty sight.

I am sorry about your lens but what a pretty picture! My son took a great picture of a daisy – I have posted it on my blog. He is only 10 – and has joined a photography club with my husband. They enjoy nature walks to take photos. I was impressed how well his turned out considering he is only 10.

I love your rose. It has a very simplistic beauty to it. I love that the background is a darker color and less vivid. It makes the rose just pop!

I have to say – every time I scroll through your blog and then I see the picture of Tater on the side – holding the kitten. It absolutely makes me laugh!! I just think that is the greatest picture. My 6 year old would do something exactly like that!! I love it!
