Ok. So I know I’m a little late posting this entry. I started it quite awhile ago back when I did July 08 posts for Amanda and Nathan (I’m still working on Em’s). I decided I better take a few minutes to finish it before it’s summer ’09 (LOL). Here are a few misc things about Josh from this summer.

These are some pictures I took during the two week photography class earlier this past summer. I was having fun with the green leaves on the tree behind Josh. These were taken on one of our trips to the waterslide.

He went with me to bake bread at a friend’s house one day and discovered motorbikes! When his friend’s father came home from work, he showed Josh what to do and off he went. I think I know what he’s going to be saving his $$ for now.

They rode around the area in front of his friend’s house for awhile with an adult supervising.
With some of the $$ he earned this summer, he bought this new truck! Just like his dad and grandpa’s.

Josh’s traveling basketball team decided to play in the State games this summer. They had to REALLY play hard against some of these teams. Quite a few of the games were pretty close.

It’s amazing how much the kids improve in the off season when they have a traveling team to play on. He LOVES basketball so we’re very thankful (and excited) that he was invited to play on a travel team.

Normally he’s pretty quite and laid back about things, but not on the bb court (LOL). He suddenly comes alive and is quite vocal.

He’s pretty aggressive and competitive… more so than I would have guessed before he started playing sports…. front/center of this photo guarding.

During one of the games he was the high scorer and in another game he made a 3 point shot! YEA!

For those who read the blog very often you’ll probably notice this same smile a little ways back in the recent football post. Here Josh is getting some words of praise from his dad after their team took 3rd place at the state games!
YEA! He received a very nice medal.

Right about this time last summer I was dreaming of a new lens for my camera because I was tired of pictures that turned out yellow like this one…. (although now I know I can fix some of that with the manual settings and adjusting whitebalance which can’t be adjusted on automatic settings)

or pictures like this which are way too dark… and I don’t have a photo editing program to fix them… that’s next on my list.

He also spent a LOT of time outside in the garage building a new dump trailer of some sort to go behind the lawn mower. I don’t think I took a picture of the finished product.

He and his dad also did some work on the jeep.. Here it is in pieces.

It’s running again now…. something about a new lift kit and transmission. I do recall, however, that the last time they drove it Tim had to drive all the way home from somewhere in REVERSE! So, I think it may need a little more work.
I’m sure I planned to post more pictures, but now I don’t remember what they might have been…. so I better just publish this and move on to more current happenings (LOL).
