While we were in Kauai, we found the CUTEST album which is shown above. The green part of the album is made of leaves presumably from the area. The turtle, front edge, and entire backside of the album are made from some sort of wood. The Kauai is embroidered onto the album.
I bought this island album because I have high hopes of creating a SIMPLE Kauai album which will reflect the relaxing nature of our recent vacation. It has some heavy threads woven onto the pages which seem to resemble some sort of handmade type paper. Each of the 12 pages holds 4 pictures either horizonally or vertically and therein lies the problem.
The above albums holds 100 pictures. Do you see the pile of pictures on the table in the picture below? Anyone care to take a guess as to how many pictures arrived in our mailbox from Shutterfly today? I should really hold a contest to see who can guess the closest amount. I hadn’t thought about that until just now. So, I’ll give you until Sunday to post a guess and whoever guesses the closest number will win some sort of prize from my scrapbooking room. You can either leave your estimate in my comment box or send me an email. The two of you who already know the answer don’t qualify (LOL).
The only hint I can give you is that Emily busted out laughing today when she saw the pile of pictures that are supposed to fit into the album that only holds 100 pictures. She said, “I TOLD YOU THEY WOULDN’T ALL FIT!” She’s right. AH… I thought I was doing such a great job of triaging my photos. I had pared the # down considerably from a little over 1100 to (…. I’ll fill in that # after you all submit your guesses…) and it’s still quite a bit more than the 100 the album will hold so I guess I’ll have to do some more paring down. Maybe I should have read the simplifying phrase I posted a few days ago BEFORE I placed the Shutterfly order!
