Today was my 40th “something” birthday! I officially quit counting after 30. My family gave me a WONDERFUL present which I will really enjoy using after the holidays. It’s a gift certificate for a day’s treatment at a spa place in town! I plan to pick a day to pamper myself and really enjoy this one! Usually I like to get several massage certificates, but it will be nice to have something a little different this year. I’m REALLY looking forward to it.

Tim’s mom had us over for dinner. She made Alice Springs Chicken (Outback Steak House style) which I’ll post in the next entry since I’m sure some of you will be asking for the recipe (LOL)! Every year she makes this multi-layer German Chocolate cake from scratch for me! I LOVE IT!

Here is Tim with his famous hand on his head “look” (see sidebar for further info). As you can see from the pictures below, none of us feel very well. We had to cut our night short so I could go home and go to bed. Today was a long day with co-op and birthday. I would have stayed home from co-op today, but there were too many things for the admin team to do that I couldn’t leave them short a person. I made it through dinner, but was ready to shortly after the cake.
