FORTUNE COOKIES

I don’t usually pay much attention to fortune cookie sayings, but I had quite a chuckle out of these two from our Chinese takeout last night.

“Your sense of adventure will lead you on a great vacation.”

The above was particularly funny to me (and not to my dh) since I’ve been talking for quite awhile now about taking a trip to Egypt participate in an archaeological dig, ride the camels, and explore the pyramids. Just recently I even started talking to some tour companies (LOL). Perhaps this fortune cookie saying will come to pass in the next year!

The second one was:

“You will do better in real estate than in stocks.”

We laughed about this one because of all the $$ we lost the last few weeks due to the current economic situation. We also finalized the purchase of some land a few weeks ago. Perhaps we should have bought more land and less stocks!

Oh well.. at least we don’t have all of our eggs in one basket.

And if you do go to Egypt, I will expect a blow-by-blow account WITH photos! 😉 That would be SO much fun!!!

I love fortune cookies. LOL

DINNER

This is a fairly typical dinner for me.  A serving of meat which in this case was grilled hamburger.  Sometimes a slice of cheese, but not always.  At least two veggies and sometimes three!  No ketchup.  No bun.  No yummy homemade hamburger relish.  Just a little bit of spicy mustard …
