FLOWBEE HAIRCUTS

A week or so ago the boys needed haircuts, but neither of them like to go to town. So, my mom brought her FLOWBEE up to the house to give the boys a haircut.

It took awhile to figure out which combination of blades would produce the desired length. Josh didn’t seem to mind since he was able to occupy his time texting his friends.

He doesn’t seem to be minding the haircut too much (LOL)!

My mom is a beautician. She worked in the hair cutting field for many years so she does know a thing or two about cutting hair, but she said *I* could even do it with this system. I don’t think so (LOL).

I know one thing. It’s a whole lot cheaper than paying for a haircut in town. I’m not sure what Josh thinks of the haircut by the look on his face below. (LOL).

PhotobucketActually. It turned out really nice and I’m guessing we’ll be using this option a LOT in the near future since, as I already said, it makes for a very economical haircut.

I'm blessed to have my MIL who does all the boys haircuts. They haven't rebelled on me yet! Before we moved back to the homestead she would do them on a weekend we were visiting. Now I just send them over whenever she had the time & they really need one. 😉

I have never tried one of those to cut hair. It looks great. My husband used to do the boys with a buzz cutter thingie but now that they are older – they want someone more professional. I can understand – my husband's attitude about hair is – 'well it will grow out'. Okay but in the meantime we are walking around looking snarkly. I can totally understand why they don't want Dad to do it anymore.

It is a huge money saver though.

That is sooo funny! My dad always tells stories of the "flowbee" haircuts they used to get…and I always thought he was KIDDING! 🙂 It is attached to your vacuum right? Funny! Hey, whatever works and can save $$ these days…haircuts can get expensive too!

I love your blog by the way! So creative! How did you get that signature at the end of each entry that says "Cynthia" ?? I really like that!!

Robin,
Yes. That is my scrapbooking room. I guess I should post some pictures of it. Were you around last year when I posted the blog challenge to get our scrap areas organized? I posted a VERY MESSY picture of this room. It's taken me over a year to get it all cleaned up and functional. I guess I should post what I've done.

Lisa,
Very handy that your mil cuts your kids hair. I'm pretty sure we'll just let my mom cut the boys' hair fomr quite some time now! The flowbee worked pretty well.

Debbie,
It is a HUGE $$ saver! I don't know how much the flowbee costs so it might take awhile to recup the $$ if you had to buy one.

I've never seen a Flowbee. I remember when we began hsing, and then I bought clippers. Dh was a little concerned that we were "too" granola-y, lol. But we still use the clippers!

LITTLE BITES OF HAPPINESS

Nathan’s friend, Noah, came over to hang out today and enjoy one last day of Christmas break before school resumes for both of them tomorrow. On the way home from picking him up at “the bridge,” I asked if the boys wanted some oatmeal for breakfast, but no. They wanted …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
