That’s awesome! I used to love singing in the choir. I love that first shot. 😉

Emily sings in a small choir of about a dozen girls led by two of our homeschool mom friends.
Last night they performed a 45 minute program for a local church’s senior citizen Christmas dinner.

Emily was supposed to sing a duet with one of her friends from the choir. However, her friend had a tonsillectomy awhile ago and now she has a cold so on Tuesday they decided she wouldn’t be able to sing the song with Emily. The choir director asked Emily if Amanda could sing the duet with her, instead. Amanda, THANKS for stepping up on short notice to help out your sister. They were only able to practice one time the night before, but thankfully they had practiced the song a few weeks ago when Amanda was helping Emily with some harmony parts for the song. Here’s a picture of them singing together last night.
A story from last night. The pastor who was in charge of the program told a story at the end of the evening about having a conversation with one of the young ladies telling her that he used to pastor a church where her parents and grandparents attended. She replied that she must have been very young because she didn’t remember them. He didn’t have the heart to tell her that she wasn’t even born yet (LOL). Everyone started laughing and I knew it had to be one of my girls since none of the other girls ion the choir lived out of town besides Emily and Amanda.
