EGG HEAD

Homeschool Co-op

Back in December, Nathan’s preschool class started this egg head project growing grass out of the top of an egg shell. They decorated the egg and added eyes. It’s a cute little thing. Nathan has been watering it and taking care of it for several weeks. Today (1-27-07), he decided to cut the “hair.” I wasn’t noticing any new grass/hair coming in awhile and the grass/hair that was there was starting to not look so healthy so I think this is probably the end of his egg head project.

Above, he’s checking it out. He checked on it several times a day over the past few weeks. Today, he took it to the window and looked at it awhile before deciding to cut the hair.

Yes, those are BIG scissors but they are the only ones we have available right now. So, I supervised him pretty closely… from behind the camera anyway (LOL). Below he decided to feel the hair one mroe time before making any cuts.

OOPS… this is the wrong angle. Better try that again.
Ok… that’s the right angle now.
Here he made one cut with the scissors already and he’s getting ready to make another cut. Several more cuts….

Here is the finished cut! Doesn’t it look nice? It’s pretty even. Not sure I’d want him cutting “my” hair though and I REALLY HOPE he doesn’t get any ideas about cutting his own hair. We had a nice chat about only cutting things when I’m there to help!

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
