The kids were SO excited to see a package come in the mail this week from our foreign exchange student, Michaela, who lives in Germany!
She sent something for everyone and they had fun digging through the box to see what was theirs.
She included a chocolate spoon for everyone including all of the grandparents, GG, and Uncle Troy (although I haven’t gotten his to him yet.) I’ll have to post a close up picture and story about these chocolate spoons later.
Fruit Smatties for the boys. These are hard to find because, evidently, the Germans don’t care of them. We, otoh, LOVE them! Michaela’s mom had to search a long time to find them for us and we really appreciate her efforts!
Can you tell Nathan LOVES these?
She sent stickers from each of the countries that we visited last fall as well as a puzzle of Paris which Emily is working on. She plans to glue it together and hang it in her room after it’s completed.
Michaela also sent chocolates in these really cute tin boxes. She included a note which said they could double as pencil boxes after the candy is gone. This is because we looked for cute pencil boxes in each country, but really didn’t find any that we liked. This will work GREAT!
Thanks, Michaela! We LOVED everything and your package will be on its way shortly! I’m sorry you won’t receive it until after you get back from your project in South Africa! Send us some pictures from there, please!
