BOYS WILL BE BOYS:

Here’s what the boys have been up to lately. Awhile ago, Josh made a zip line that goes from the top of the swingset down to the bottom of the basketball pole. I was afraid to watch him slide down, but I decided I better watch incase he got stuck or anything (LOL) and of course I grabbed the camera, too. READY, SET, GO!

Today he made a cross bow (I think that’s what he called it anyway). He made a drawing of what he wanted it to look like and then went down to grandpa’s to get some help. It really shoots and he must be able to aim it fairly accurately because he hit the target.

Today Nathan decided that he wanted to read a book that was on the VERY TOP SHELF!

And, while he was up on the ladder (no, it’s not normally in the house) he showed me how daddy fixed the lightbulbs.
This morning he managed to build the train round all by himself! Usually he can’t quite figure out how to make the entire circle by himself, but today he scored and did the happy dance inside!

::snort:: YOu have brought a big smile to my face today with your photos. Give your boys a high five for me….not a hug, never THAT. LOL They look like they are having a blast.

I miss playing in your back yard while Bre takes piano lessons…..and all those paper dolls that Amanda and Emily loved to play with….

Crossbows. Targets. Ziplines. Ladders. Trains. Totally BOYS! (And hey, I can see the code now, so something’s working right again.)

🙂

Ok, I love your new camera! I’ve been wanting to post but things here have been crazy to say the least.lol Is it easy to use or did you need to read a 4000 pg manual just to turn it on?lol You know I like simple but for those kinds of pictures, I’m thinking I may want to make reading a 4000 pg manual my newest hobby.lol Hope your ballroom dancing went well.

Blessings,

Lisa

DeEtta,
I’m glad you enjoy the pictures! I also remember the girls all playing before/after lessons. I miss those days.

Kristine, I’m glad you can post again. I don’t know what was wrong, but glad it’s fixed now.

LITTLE BITES OF HAPPINESS

Nathan’s friend, Noah, came over to hang out today and enjoy one last day of Christmas break before school resumes for both of them tomorrow. On the way home from picking him up at “the bridge,” I asked if the boys wanted some oatmeal for breakfast, but no. They wanted …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
