Tim and I were married 21 years ago. We were QUITE young as you can tell from the picture. We knew each other all through high school and were married a year after I graduated. Our parents were friends, even spent a few holidays together, before we ever dated or liked each other.

If you aren’t on the SHS loop you might wonder what prompted me to post THIS picture *now* (LOL). My fellow SHS loopies decided to post their wedding pictures on their blogs for Valentine’s Day… so there you have it…. our wedding picture and the story of how we met all in one post.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the dress specifics. My dress was a prom dress that I “fixed” and made into a wedding dress. It did not come with the lace sleeves, or overlay on the skirt. We bought yards of lace and made those parts as well as the train on the back. Since it was a prom dress I happened to find bridesmaids dresses in exactly the same style that my bridesmaids wore in a pinkish/purplish color… pastel.

We both played in a church band at the time and the worship leader wrote a song for our wedding which was special. We had the cake reception in the church right after our wedding.

I am thoroughly enjoying all the wedding pictures. You two look so happy, young and beautiful! Great shot. I had to zoom in to see it in detail. Glad you posted it.

Of course I had to come back and check out the Luke Skywalker connection. They are RIGHT. LOL

Oops – forgot to check and see if you remind me of Amanda. LOL Why can’t I remember to do two things at once these days? ::snort::

Do I dare even say that I don’t have a clue who Luke Skywalker is? I’m thinking I don’t recognize the name from any of our history reading the last few years so he’s either someone from the ancients which we will cover the year after next or he’s in a movie or tv show.. neither of which I would have a clue about.
QB – who is hoping she’s responded to this late enough in the posting series that no one will notice that I don’t know who Luke Skywalker is… although I tried to skirt around it on the loop.

LOL! Ok.. NOW I know who he is… at least I’ve heard of the movie. Have never actually seen the character though to be able to have a comparison myself…. sad, but true. I just haven’t had much time over the years to watch movies and when I sit down to watch one at home I usually fall asleep. I can usually stay awake for movies at the theater though.

At worship team practice last night a couple of the guys called my dh “Luke” (LOL)… and my dd just shook her head and asked what they were going to do wtih me since I NEVER know these types of things (LOL)…

Now ask me about history and colonial style furniture and I might be able to enter the conversation.

Well near QB – I am Princess Layer so I can tell you who Luke is – a character in Star Wars – otherwise known as “light saber man” around here…guess you’d best buy Tim a light saber. LOL
