Oh how exciting Cynthia. I'm going to cast my vote when I leave here.
Your blog looks great! It's been a while since I've visited blogs. Life is nuts with Doug gone so much and my mom sick. But I love the new look.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out last week that my blog has been nominated again this year in the Best Variety category of the Homeschool Blog Awards competition. This is a contest sponsored by The Homeschool Post which is a website dedicated to encouraging, informing, and connecting the homeschool blogging community. THANK YOU to all who recommended my blog for nomination in this category. I may not have as much time as others to consistently blog, but when I do take time to post, the entries are certainly quite varied.
I think my blog definitely fits The Homeschool Post’s description of Best Variety which is: “This blogger is one that could fit in any of these categories … but they just can’t be pinned down in ONE. This type of blogger is the ADD hyper-focused type… always moving on from one thing to the next… and always keeping you interested in coming back for more! “
Those who have have either read my blog for any length of time or know me in real life will attest to the fact that I’m a bit ADD and pretty much an all or nothing type person. (LOL)! If you haven’t read my blog before, please take a few minutes to look around. Since last year’s competition (which I won in this category), I’ve made a few changes which make navigating my blog a bit easier. My favorite change is the addition of a tool bar at the top making it easier to search my main categories which are Hobbies, Recipes, Reviews, School, and Travel. You’ll definitely find quite a variety of entries among just those categories not to mention all of the topics in the sidebar categories. Some of the topics you’ll find include:
*homeschool projects, curriculum, activities, field trips, co-op*group and individual sports events that our kids participate in*tried and true recipes*vacations near and far*reviews – books, movies, curriculum, and websites* bloggy giveaways – books, scrapbooking supplies, and more*scrapbooking ideas, classes, and projects as well contests and challenges*Church activitites*Hobbies and recreational activities*Holiday traditions*video clips*posts about our construction business *gardening, landscaping, and home repair projects*kids’ quotes….and much much more. If you look back far enough you’ll find posts with step by step instructions for installing an automatic drip system for underground sprinklers, an indepth study of Cottonwood trees (LOL), vacation planning tips, and a multitude of other rather “varied” and random topics.
