Hey, congrats! I forgot all about this this year…until I heard Dorothy mention it.
Friday, Nov 21st update. I want to say thanks so much to all of you who have taken a minute to vote for my blog. I’m still about 24 votes behind so if you haven’t voted yet, today is the day. Voting ends at midnight tonight, Nov 21st. I’m going to be headed out here in a little bit and by the time I get back home the voting will be over. So, I won’t get to sit around and watch the #s tonight LOL). I’m actually quite pleasantly surprised to have gotten this many votes. Again, thanks to all who have voted. If you have any family or friends who would like to take a look at some of these blogs and cast a vote, be sure to pass along the website listed below. There are some GREAT blogs on the various lists. It’s been fun to find a few new ones to frequent.
Last week one of my internet/bloggy friends (Dorothy) left a comment letting me know that my blog has been nominated for an award in a contest sponsored by The Homeschool Post which is a website dedicated to encouraging, informing, and connecting the homeschool blogging community. I want to say thank you to all who recommended my blog for a nomination. I’m honored and it was an extremely pleasant surprise! My blog has been nominated for the category of Best Variety. I may not have as much time as others to consistently blog, but when I do take time to post the entries are certainly quite varied. So, I suppose a nomination in the Best Variety category fits me well. If you haven’t read my blog before, please take time to look around. You’ll find quite a vareity of entries including:*homeschooling projects, curriculum, activities, field trips, etc.*sports events that our kids participate in*recipes*vacations*book reviews* bloggy giveaways*scrapbooking contests and challenges that I have hosted or am hosting*Church activitites*Hobbies*Holiday traditions*video clips*posts about our work*gardening*kids’ quotes….and much much more. If you look back far enough you’ll even find posts with step by step instructions for installing an automatic drip system for underground sprinklers, an indepth study of Cottonwood trees (LOL), and other rather “random” things. If you would like to cast a vote for my blog, please vote before this Friday, Nov 21st by doing the following:1. Go to http://www.homeschoolblogawards.com/
