BEAN PLANT UPDATE

Our bean plants aren’t doing too well. We brought them out from the light hut a few days ago and put them in the window. They were doing really well until they were watered too much. One day I noticed there was water SITTING in the cup and the plants had started to turn yellow. After sitting in the window for a few days they still weren’t looking any better so today, Nov 14th, I asked Josh to transplant them to different containers. He shook off the wet, soggy dirt leaving just enough around the roots and then he added a lot of dry dirt.
Hopefully, they’ll be looking better in a few days. He is going to put them in the light hut at night and bring them out to the window during the day.
After the transplanting, he had a LOT of cleaning up to do! PTL for vacuum cleaners with long hoses!

It will be interesting to see if the plants eventually grow beans in the house! Hmmm indoor gardening I like that thought as a northerner with a too short growing season, LOL.

You’re doing so many fun things with the botany curriculum!
