Congratulations to Emily!
My goodness though I feel cold just looking at the pictures!
“…. baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
~~Matthew 28:19
Our church held its annual baptism at the lake on September 9th. This year Emily was baptized!

This happens to be my FAVORITE picture! I’m guessing he was probably explaining baptism and making sure she understood its signficance.
George is also the pastor who dedicated Nathan a few years ago…. Here he’s praying with Emily.

And, then baptized her.

My Baptism
It was a cold, cold day outside on that rainy Sunday. It was 49 degrees outside and I was going to get into the Lake.
You see, I was being baptized on Sunday, September 9, 2007.I had one foot in the Lake when I said
‘OH NOW THAT’S COLD’.
I was in water up to my hips when the pastor and I prayed. Then
he said, “Ok, plug your nose. You are going to go down now.” I plugged
my nose and splash I was in the freezing cold lake. He dunked me under the water for a few seconds and then he lifted me up.
I accepted the Lord into my life at a young age and have followed Him for as
long as I can remember. I was baptized on Sunday to publicly proclaim
my faith in the Lord Jesus. I am so happy to be baptized. I just love
following the Lord and it felt great to acknowledge him in this way even if it
was freezing cold outside.
