APPLES TO APPLES

From the box: The Game of Hilarious Comparisons where EVERYONE’s opinion counts! It’s as easy as comparing apples to apples (LOL). Basically, there are red apple noun cards and green apple adjective cards. Each person is dealt 7 red apple cards from which you select the card in your hand that you think best describes the green apple card played by the judge for that round. If the judge picks your card, you win that round. You go around the table with each person taking a turn being the judge. For us it’s not as easy as chosing the card YOU think is the best fit for the comparion, it’s a matter of chosing the card you think the JUDGE will think is best (LOL)! For example, in our family the word “vacation” could go with exciting or torture depending upon who is the judge that round!

We invited Tim’s folks over for dinner and a game tonight. Here they are with their oldest granddaughter (in the middle) who is staying with them for a few days.

Josh and Grandpa are studying the red apple cards to see which one is the best match for the green apple card.
Amanda is telling Nathan about the secret card she played! At one point we were all trying to keep track of which card she played since she was only one green card away from winning. We played the version where the first one to get 4 green apple cards wins. In the next picture she and Josh are planning some strategy.

And it looks like Amanda is trying to defend the one she thinks he should pick (LOL).

They really don’t like playing with me because I over analzye EVERYTHING, but you all already know that (LOL).
OH NO… not again. I can just hear him thinking that (LOL)… then he’ll say OH MY WORD >VBG> Like I said… I can be a bit competitive.
Now Nathan is hearing secrets from daddy! Emily is hmmm… not sure what….. slightly unhappy that her card wasn’t chosen perhas?
All the kiddos! I’m going to get as many of these pictures as I can in the next year before Amanda decides to move out… sigh…
OK… now that’s MUCH HAPPIER FACE! Now she’s back on a winning track, but doesn’t want to admit that she’s HAPPY!
Tim and his mom laughing over all the choices!
Josh is studying the cards… trying to decide which one to play.

I think this looks like a great Christmas gift! I’m looking for things that we can do as a family. Looks fun!

Lisa

THIS is the game that my friend here keeps talking about – but she doesn’t describe it near as well as you do. Thanks. I think I will look for this one…it looks like one that all ages could have fun with.

I had to LAUGH at Tim’s picture and your comment. :::snort::: You competitive??? :::gasp:::

How fun to see your oldest niece again…

SEQUENCE

Nathan, Tim, and I played a lively game of Sequence this evening.  I should have won the first round, but SOMEONE had to open up their mouth and let on to someone else my strategy which was to win 2 sequences with one last chip!  That play fell through and …
