WEATHER – “THE ROADS”

We all kept an eye on the weather while at the ski lodge because the forecast was for rain mixed with snow toward the end of the day. It never came up on the mountain. All the way to town it looked like we’d run into some kind of weather and we didn’t…… until the other side of town… the direction I head. By the time we got home this is what the roads looked like in our little town. SOLID BLACK ice under that snow. When I stopped at our church to pick up Nathan I wasn’t even aware that it was slick because I wasn’t having any problems at all with the YUKON that would indicate there was ice and it was barely misting/sleeting just a little bit. Well.. I stepped out of the YUKON and fell right on my back in the parking lot… OUCH! Anyway.. by the time I left the church and headed home it did start to snow and here’s what I had to drive in!

This was Tuesday night and it has snowed the better part of each day/night since then clear through to tonight and it’s STILL snowing!

Gorgeous pictures, but UGH I do not like driving in weather like this!

That’s amazing that you didn’t injure yourself falling, really.

I was surprised too…. I think I could have ended up a little stiff, but I went home and did my stretches and everything else as if I hadn’t fallen… It’s actually the 2nd time I’ve fallen this year. The first time was in a parking lot when we were looking for our new camper. That was embarassing because a lady saw me. It was hard to get up since it was so slippery… both times I was wearing tennis shoes that just don’t have any traction.

SUPER MOON

The Super Moon was shining so bright throughout the night last night. This morning the western sky was a beautiful rainbow of colors as the moon was disappearing over the horizon.

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

EARLY MORNING VIEW

I love that the days are getting longer!   There was a beautiful view of the moon early this morning which reminded me of this song by Steven Curtis Chapman.   …”Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee…   Holy. Holy, holy…”
