HAPPY BIRTHDAY – DAY 58 of PROJECT 365

Emily turned 14 at sea! We brought a few presents that were small enough to fit into our suitcases (iTunes gift cards, socks, etc…those types of things), but we still wanted to do something more for her birthday. I really couldn’t see dragging a bunch of room decorations along in my suitcase. I noticed that Royal Carribean had a room decorating thing you could purchase. It was the first thing I did after we got on board… while the rest of the crew went to eat. I decided I better get on that ASAP before anymore people boarded and the Customer Service lines lengthened. While we were out and about in Key West they decorated her room! The pictures are a little blurry, but at least you can see the decorations.



We didn’t buy very many shipboard pictures this time (and of course I have now 2nd guessed myself and wished that we would have), but we did purchase this one of Em since it was her 14th birthday!

Happy (late) Birthday! What a great thing for the ship to offer. They have really got their act together. Did you put them up as a surprise? Beautiful ship portrait!

Yes, it was a surprise. I ordered it and set the time for it to be done… while we were out kayaking and parasailing. When we came back it was supposed to be ready… well, I had gone to our room for a few minutes to get something and noticed it wasn’t done…. I talked to the room attendant and he did it ASAP while I had dh stall Em at lunch! It was finished by the time she got to her room.
