LASAGNE

Recipes

This has been a family favorite for years!  It’s actually my own recipe which I’ve created from bits and pieces of some of our favorite recipes over the years!  It’s now just the way we like it and it’s a keeper :).  Unfortunately, these measurements aren’t exact because I just mix it until it “seems about right.”

LASAGNE

2 pounds hamburger, cooked
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (we use either Western Family or Ragu)
1 package lasagne noodles, uncooked
1 – 8 oz package cream cheese
1 – medium size container of cottage cheese
1 – small size container of sour cream
Cheddar Cheese
Mozzarella Cheese

Fry hamburger and simmer with spaghetti sauce while mixing up the creamy filling.  It needs to have enough sauce to soak into the noodles while baking.

Soften cream cheese in microwave.  Add cottage cheese and sour cream until it is an easily spreadable consistency.

Put a single layer of uncooked lasagne noodles in bottom of cake pan.  Spread approximately half of the meat sauce over the top.  Top with 1/2 of the creamy cheese mixture.  Sprinkle about 3-4 handfuls of mozzarella cheese on top followed by 3-4 handfuls of cheddar cheese.  Repeat layer.  Bake covered at 350 for about 2 hours.  Broil the last few minutes to make a nice thick crust on the top.

If something doesn’t seem “right,” be sure to ask me!  I hope you enjoy it!!
