Doesn’t that speak well of Amanda that she has such good friends! How kind of them to come over and sit with her (and give you a break on the late night shift). I’m so glad to hear she’s doing a little better. Not fun!!
FRIENDS & FAMILY BRING COMFORT

Amanda arrived home to some BEAUTIFUL flowers delivered by Grandma & Grandpa C. They smell SO GOOD! And, the rose on the top is HUGE.

Grandma & Grandpa B brought some home made chicken noodle soup over for lunch. It was yummy and very easy for her to eat during those first few days when she couldn’t eat much.
Amanda’s friend, Libby, came out to stay with her the first night. She even offered to get up with her every 4 hours during the night to take her pain meds so that I could sleep. That was SO THOUGHTFUL! The second night both of Amanda’s good friends came to stay the night. Libby and Jean, but I didn’t get a picture when both of them were here. They came right after work on Friday night and stayed until mid day on Saturday.
I made a lasagne on Friday night and some of their friends who are boys (iow, not boyfriends) came out to watch movies and eat lasagne. Amanda said she slept through it all, but it was sure nice of them to come and hang out with her for awhile.
Libby has also come back out to stay the night a few more times since then. Jean and Libby are welcome here anytime! We *love* having them over.
It’s Tuesday already so I’m a little late posting this, but she’s doing better. She wasn’t able to go to work yesterday and I’m not sure if she’ll be able to go today or not. She’s off the codeine, but still sleeping a lot and feeling nauseated from the antibiotics which she will take for a few more days.
Overall, she is recuperating and we’re glad this is behind us. NOT FUN!
