I have to point out the soap bottle in the window. It contains a YUMMY smelling soap from Bath & Body. When I was at Lee’s a year ago, I noticed she used an oil jar dispenser for her soap. It looked so nice sitting in her kitchen window that I decided to find one when I got back home. I LOVE it and think of her often as I’m using it.
This does look so pretty but it does bring up painful, distasteful (literally) memories. Last summer I was staying at a relative’s house. We were mixing up some salad dressing and grabbed what we thought was vinegar. Ugh!! Thankfully I didn’t put the ‘soapy’ dressing all over the big salad. I tasted it and went ahead and washed my mouth out (soap already included). Yuck!!
Not to take away from your pretty soap dispenser. Just some issues I’m working through. ha!
UGH.. that would be *awful* (LOL)! I have to admit that I don’t actually “use” this very often because the soap dries up in the spout thingie and then it won’t come out. I need to see if there is something like this that’s actually *made* for soap dispensing or if other people use theirs more often and don’t have this problem. We use our dial pump dispensers for most of our handwashing, but I like this one for a special treat now and then…. too expensive to use B&B for all the time, though, imo.

I have my dish soap in an oil bottle JUST like your! I mean, exactly! But I use it very frequently, so the soap doesn’t dry in the spout. And I keep my soap bottle in the window above my kitchen sink!
Cindy – I would of never thought to put soap in a oil bottle. I do use Bath and Body works soaps at most of our sinks but I will have to look for an oil bottle too.

I wouldn’t have thought to use this type of container either if I hadn’t seen one in Lee’s window. I found this one fairly inexpensively at Linen’s & Things.

I think of you often, too! My sister-in-law gave me the bottle and the idea. I just use mine for dish soap, so it gets used every day. I do have to wash the spout now and then. I do like having it this way. Beautiful photo….
