UPDATE at 2:00 p.m.: Can you believe it? My new blog design is up and ready! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I can’t get over how Susie can read through a blog, ask some questions of a person, and come up with something that’s fitting for them without ever “knowing” them.
I’m don’t remember exactly how I happened on to a blog that she created, I recall seeing one that popped out at me and noticed the credit. From that blog, I clicked on a blog ring and notices a bunch more blogs that “popped” out at me and noticed the same credits. I went to that website and scrolled through all of the designs and immediately knew *I* wanted a makeover! My family gave me this blog makeover for my birthday (better than them saying *I* need an overhaul – lol). Don’t you just LOVE it?
Susie from Bluebird Blogs created it for me. It’s been in the works for awhile. Initially, I thought I wanted to change the blog title to the name of a song that I really enjoy, On the Road to Beautiful. I told Suise about how I like earth tones and natural colors, we live in the country, and like to travel, etc. So, she created a *beautiful* blog for me around those things. I realized after she created that design that our life is much busier than it reflected not to mention that the words to the song, colors, etc said “reflective, contemplative, and serene” to me and those things I’m not. Basically, I led her on a wild goose chase. She was SO patient with my flip/flop back to our original title, Life is Good.
We kept the same title, but changed the motto from “traveling life’s highway” to follow along with us as we travel through life’s seasons.” So, it’s VERY FITTING that *today* of all days, while I’m blogging graduation stuff, Susie loaded the new design. I was pleasantly surprised when I clicked on it a few minutes ago and saw that it was the new design! WHO HOO!
We found the clipart the clipart above and it just JUMPED out at me. It seems pretty accurate for our family… kids of all ages, mom/dad, colors to represent the seasons, the little car in between each blog entry, etc.
Anyway. I LOVE it! Thanks a BUNCH Susie! If anyone else is looking for a blog makeover, I *highly* recommend that you click on over to her website and check out her work! Her designs are AWESOME!
THIS MORNING AT DAWN THIRTY:
Several people have been asking me about the new design that Susie at Bluebird Blogs is creating for me. It’s been in the works for a number of months and was just about finished when she decided to look for a job. Long story short. Yes, I’ve been talking about it for months and I think it’s just about done. I had hoped to save graduation pictures to be the first things to appear on the new blog since the new design says “follow along with us as we travel through life’s seasons.” We’re obviously entering a new season this weekend with dd graduating from high school. However, I can’t keep waiting to post these graduation pictures until the new design comes out since I really don’t know when it’ll be uploaded. So, I’m going to start posting them now.
Someone else asked what’s different about the new design.. it’s entirely different. You’ll just have to wait and see since it would take too long to describe (LOL) and then it would take away the surprise of seeing it for the first time! Stay tuned. Shouldn’t be too much longer, I hope.
Okay, I’m excited now! Can’t wait to see the new look. Mind you, things are a bit busy for you right now. 🙂
Wow – it jumps at you – cool! I really have liked several Bluebird blog designs…interesting that they aren’t all the “same look” if you know what I mean. I loved the first design she came up with too – but this is more “on the move”….the other was…maybe the word is “serene”.
Well worth your wait. Glad it’s up and moving for you. It loads VERY fast for me too. Cool.

I love the new design and colors–they are so totally YOU!!!! There’s so many things I like about it, from the obvious colors, to the crisp square borders, to “Cynthia” in large font, to the little jeep between posts . . . It’s really great, Cindy.
To help myself maintain control, I am NOT looking any further at Bluebird stuff! (Repeating several times . . . )

You might ask for a Bluebird Blog makeover for Christmas or birthday or something. I LOVE the redesign. My family got it for me for Christmas last year and really I thought her prices were QUITE reasonable for the amount of time she obviously puts into creating these designs.

Thanks! We like it too. She did another one for me before this one and it just didn’t “fit.” Then, I gave her new/more info and this is waht she came up with. It fits our family to a “T” and we ALL love it now!
