This is a GREAT recipe! Thanks for posting. I’m always, always looking for more dinner ideas and one that can be prepared and then left to bake for a long time is wonderful.
Nice photo as well. Clear, good framing, nice composition. Good job. 🙂
This is one of my all time favorite things to stick in the crockpot on Co-op Days! I can fix it the night before and turn on the crockpot just before I leave. It always comes out great.
2 pounds stew meat (I used a round steak and cut it into cubes)
6 stalks celery, sliced
3 potatoes cut into chunks
1 medium onion chopped
6 carrots sliced
2 tsp salt
1 tsp accent
1 TBSP sugar
3 TBSP quick cooking tapioca
1 1/2 cup tomato juice
A1 seasoning desired (I don’t put this in)
Mix beef and vegetables in 13×9 baking pan. Blend salt, sugar, accent, tapioca and any other seasoning you prefer into tomato juice. Pour over beef. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 250 for 4-5 hours. May also be cooked in large crock pot on low for 10-12 hours. (I bake at 350 for 2 hours).
