TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our baby home from the hospital. This weekend she will be graduating and only God knows what’s in her future. Find Your Wings by Mark Harris communicates a lot of what we’re thinking/feeling at this time. I hope you enjoy the music and a trip down memory lane with us… from birth to our favorite graduation pictures!

Dearest Amanda, honey, we never imagined that eighteen years would/could fly by so quickly. We know that God *has* filled your heart with dreams and that He *has* given you courage to try many things over the years. We’re thrilled that you have grown up to be a Godly young woman with a passion for leading people in worship! Our prayer is that you continue to stay deeply rooted in God. We’ll be here crying and cheering for you as you find your wings!

Love ya, honey!

Find Your Wings
It’s only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I’ll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I’ll want to know
You’re walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow

Chorus:
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I’m here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings

May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories

Chorus:

It’s not living if you don’t reach for the sky
I’ll have tears as you take off
But I’ll cheer as you fly.

I just watched the slide show and thought what a neat way to bless your dd.

Cindy,
I’ve never even seen your daughter before and I still cried. I can only imagine how looking back over those years could bring the tears flowing.

This has got to be sooo hard for you! I’m praying for a wonderful graduation ceremony and that you have plenty of onions on hand.

Blessings,

Lisa

This must be such a bittersweet time for you! On my it passes so quickly!!! I’m a little sad that my first will be a teenager soon.

Cynthia, I have tears in my eyes after watching that. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl. Congratulations on your graduation, Amanda. May God bless you in this new season of your life.

I can’t imagine the emotions. I have been praying for you in this specific area after looking at your blog last week. The song that you had on there was very “telling” You can be proud that with God’s help you have raised a GREAT kid. She will continue to be a blessing to many.

Sorry, Cynthia. Your plan won’t work. I have never met Amanda and I was sobbing halfway through the thing. Just bring tissues and wear waterproof mascara.

LOL – I’ve been wondering how simply adding Josiah’s slide show with the music one I currently have playing in the background would work since I can’t get HIS music to load with the show….now I know.

Congrats AMANDA! You’ve done well – it’s been a joy to watch you grow up.

Cindy – this is absolutely lovely!!! What a beautiful girl. I feel so blessed that we can join with you in celebrating her graduation.

wow, cindy. i had tears in my eyes while i was scrolling through those pictures of amanda and hearing that song! i love that song! i can’t even imagine the myriad of feelings you must be experiencing right now. what a beautiful family. God’s blessing is all over the bbents! see you soon.

Cindy- first of all I LOVE your new blog design. She did an AWESOME job!!!!
Also, your slide show of Amanda brought tears to my eyes too. My oldest graduated last year and you can’t believe the emotions you go through as you release one to fly on their own.
I don’t know Amanda personally but I know from what you have told us about her and from what I have read on your blog . . she is a great girl who loves the Lord very much! The Lord will guide her and direct her as she begins this new phase of her life. He will also comfort you and your husband as you begin this new phase too!

What a beautiful tribute to your daughter! Amanda has a beautiful smile! I really enjoyed watching the slide show. I cannot believe we’ll be there in 2 years. No wonder you’ve been crying all weekend.

Your beautiful slide show has me boo-hooing! They grow so fast, too fast. Thanks for sharing with us!

Ohh wow great slide show I am not sure if you listen to that song a thousand times you will be able to withhold from crying…. 😉

Thanks for sharing this very special moment with a “green” homeschool Mom like me.

I really like how this show is set up to “turn pages” of the album! I’m feeling like a HORRIBLE mom since we have TWO professional photos EVER taken of our dd. (After the last family photo, she demanded, “Next time we have a family photo, I”M staying at Grandma’s!”)

Super pics, super arrangment, lovely tribute.

🙂

Hi there. I saw your new blog design on Bluebird Blogs and thought it was really good and wanted to check it. What a lovely tribute to your daughter. Congratulations to her on her graduation.

Oh Cynthia! I am a sobbing mess right now… that is so touching!

I know you are so proud of her. Congratulations to your family!
