$10 BLESSING

Do you all know that both Lowe’s and Home Depot offer a 1 year guarantee on all of their plants, trees, shrubs, etc? Last year when we were planting our flower beds we bought as much as we could from both of these places because of their guarantees.

When I was at Home Depot returning some things that didn’t survive the winter, I managed to fill my shopping cart with a few things I blogged about in the next entry. While I was wandering around looking at all of the plants I’d LOVE to have an elderly couple approached me and asked if my purchase was going to come to $50 or not. I did a little mental math and figured that it would. We visited for a little while and then they said they were looking for someone to give a $10 off gift card to and they decided they wanted to give it to me! They must have felt sorry for me – you know – you know the one wandering aimlessly about the garden center (LOL), reading all of the labels, sunburned, etc.

That was SO NICE of them. Their $10 off card added to my credit from the returned things meant I only had to spend a few $$’s for the new plants I picked up.

What a neat blessing! I didn’t know about the guarentee either. I was already planning to head there later in the week to get some plants. Neat! 🙂 Lisa B.

DINNER

This is a fairly typical dinner for me.  A serving of meat which in this case was grilled hamburger.  Sometimes a slice of cheese, but not always.  At least two veggies and sometimes three!  No ketchup.  No bun.  No yummy homemade hamburger relish.  Just a little bit of spicy mustard …
