Our waterheater closet door is the dark spot you see to the right of this picture. Everything that was dark colored has now been painted white. I’ll give an overall bathroom update later, but for now I’m just going to show what a difference it made to change just this one thing!
First, we took this dark door off.

In the garage, Josh & Tim, primed and painted the door. Then, they added some decorative trim.

Then we brought it in the house to paint the decorative trim and the wooden accent at the top.
Isn’t it amazing what a $2.00 wooden decoration did to dress up this door? The trim didn’t cost much either, but I don’t remember how much. Probably well under $10.00.
After the trim paint dried, Josh added the new glass door knob.

Our hot water heater closet is a MESS, but I’m determined to not start digging into any closets until next summer. We *MUST* finish up the projects we’ve started and then call it good for now so we can concentrate on school and “life.”

The finished door! What a HUGE difference compared to the first photo up above. This one thing didn’t take very long, it wasn’t all that hard, and it didn’t cost much either. Now when you look in from the kitchen you see this nice looking door instead of the dark plain door that was there before.

More bathroom pictures to come soon! We’re getting close!
