I LOVE the above picture! Tim’s very patient with the boys teaching them how to do all kinds of things. Josh has been wanting to learn how to run the forklift all summer. One weekend Tim took a few minutes to show him the controls, how to steer it, how to look out for the back end since it swings out so wide, etc.
We’re so thankful for homeschooling!! With Tim gone as much as he is I’d sure hate for Josh to have to be off at school when daddy does have few minutes or a day at home. The forklift is a little hard to start, but Josh finally got the hang of it and now he doesn’t have any problems. He’s VERY CAREFUL to make sure Nathan is standing way over by the house. He moves all of the vehicles out of the way, etc., since he’s still getting used to how much the back end swings when you’re turning.

Kid Quote: “Can I go move something for you, mom.”
LOL… now that Josh knows how to run the fork lift, we’ve gotten all kinds of things picked up around the yard. He moved an entire *BIG* pile of landscape rocks out back so they aren’t right up in our driveway. He hauled off a bunch of metal, a table, etc. He *LOVES* to work especially when it involves running a piece of equipment! Next thing I know Josh will be running this all by himself.

See. I told you so. Below, Tim’s confident that Josh has a good handle on operating the fork lift so now he stands on the ground supervising! Here Josh is lining up the forks so they’ll slide into the slots on these palets which he’s using to haul off a bunch of rocks.

And there he goes all by himself. Now… he can be working on the pile of things that need to be moved with the forklift while Tim works in the garage …. on one of the many bathroom projects, I’m sure.

Thanks Josh! It’s sure nice to have all of your capable help outside (and inside)!
