GOOD NIGHT AMANDA

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketFor those who don’t already know this our oldest daughter, Amanda, moved out today. I’ll blog more about that later when I can see straight again… it’s hard to type when your eyes keep filling up to the point where you can’t see and your nose keeps dripping onto your keyboard.Honey, we are VERY excited for you and know that you’re absolutely ready for this new phase of your life. However, I don’t think the rest of us are ready for this new phase of our lives. I’ll try to load some pics of her moving out of our home and into her new place in the next day or so, but for now this picture of Tater calling to say good night to Amanda pretty much sums up what’s going on here on our end. He keeps saying that she can’t move out and I keep trying to explain to him that she already has.

That is so sad… I am not looking forward to missing my kiddos. Of course, I have a good 8-9 years to get used to the idea. You’re all going to adjust fine- just need a little time…

I’m so sorry that everyone is having such a difficult time right now. I can’t even imagine DD moving out, and I’m sure DS will be upset just like your little guy. I’ll be keeping everyone in my prayers!

Oh, how bittersweet it must be to see a child move on like this!

A triumph in one sense, since independence for our kids is what we work towards, but also such a hole left in your home and hearts!

Praying for you all.

Poor little guy! What a wonderful thing that Amanda is so independent and moving on to this next phase in her life, but how tough for you all!

Praying for you all that you will find some place of peace in it all.

May your heart be blessed with peace during this bittersweet transition. May Amanda’s journey be blessed as she moves into the next phase of her life. Congratulations! You’ve succeeded as a Mom. She grew up! 🙂

Oh my goodness! What a precious picture. Doesn’t that just capture the family’s feelings perfectly.

You know it will get better and you know it’s the next stage for Amanda, but it’s HARD!!

Oh Cynthia, it is so hard. What a heart wrenching picture! I’m right there with you this year, with my dd going off to college. It just takes some time for everyone to adjust to this new phase of life.

Cindy – Praying for you all as you make your way through this transition. Sierra still doesn’t fully understand why Jordan doesn’t live here anymore. It is going to take some getting use to.

LITTLE BITES OF HAPPINESS

Nathan’s friend, Noah, came over to hang out today and enjoy one last day of Christmas break before school resumes for both of them tomorrow. On the way home from picking him up at “the bridge,” I asked if the boys wanted some oatmeal for breakfast, but no. They wanted …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
